Pam Finger is a licensed clinical social worker and holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Syracuse University.  (The R designation means that she has had a minimum of six years of supervised clinical experience).

She has been working with groups and businesses as a trainer and consultant since 1990 and began seeing clients in clinical practice in 1996.  Pam has taught numerous classes and workshops on self esteem, boundaries, anger management, values clarification, grief and loss and communication.  Pam has served as adjunct faculty at Nazareth College and the Gannett School.  Her corporate clients have included Wegmans, Highland Hospital, AIDS Rochester and numerous school districts, PTA's and daycare centers.

In addition to her clinical training, Pam has trained with Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul author) as a self esteem facilitator and has been selected to assist numerous times at his national trainings.  Pam has also been certified as an Imago Relationship therapist and as a Pairs Couples relationship leader.  She has studied couples therapy, experiential therapy, life coaching, trauma and mediation.  She strongly feels that this work is a wonderful addition to traditional therapy.

Pam has served on the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Rochester and for several years was the President of the Rochester Chapter of the National Council for Self Esteem.  She continues to serve on the Education Committee of the Mental Health Association of Rochester, which offers programs to clinicians and the general public in the local community.  She also has been a longtime board memebr of the Greater Rochester Employee Assistance Professionals Association.

Pam begins her work with each client by establishing a sense of relationship and safety and helping the client to feel hopeful.  She brings a level of positive thinking and enthusiasm to her practice.
